Hello, my name is Miss Gaiter. I am a proud Alumna of Cleveland State University, where I earned two degrees in Bachelors of Science in Psychology and Health Sciences. I am the oldest of 7 children and while I do not have children of my own I am a proud aunt of my niece, Khloe, and nephew, Sean. Fun facts about me: I love to travel, spending time with my family and friends, watching football (Go Eagles!), listening to music and podcasts, and my ultimate favorite thing to do is journaling. I am honored to be the Office Manager/Enrollment Specialist at West Prep Academy this year and looking forward to a great school year!

Hello! My name is Maria Hejnal and I have the pleasure of being West Preparatory’s Academic Coach. My primary role is to work with both teachers and students to be as academically successful as possible. I hold a bachelor's degree in Education from Heidelberg University and a masters in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Phoenix. I love teaching math and learning new things and I am so lucky that this is my 15th year in education! I can’t wait to get to know each an every student at West Prep and to make this the most successful year yet!

Hello! My name is Mr. K and I am a graduate from Bowling Green State University. I lived in Westlake until 6th grade but then moved to North Ridgeville and graduated from North Ridgeville in 2013. I am someone who loves playing video games and loves learning, especially in history. I am a dedicated teacher and love being at West Prep Academy.

My name is Raven Ashcraft, I am currently the first-grade teacher at West Prep Academy in Cleveland, Ohio. I graduated in 2016 from Walsh University with my Bachelor's in Early Childhood Intervention. This is my first year as a teacher and I couldn't be more excited about my class. Fun facts about me are, I have a four-month-old daughter and a three-year-old pet chinchilla!

Hello! My Name is Bridgette Beal, and I am the ESL teacher at West Preparatory Academy this year. I graduated from Kent State University in 2012 with a bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education.  For the past 4 years, I was teaching 2nd grade in Tampa, Florida but have since moved back to my hometown of Avon Lake, Ohio. I have a patterdale terrier named Scout who is 3 years old. I love all my Cleveland Sports team including the Browns and am a big Ohio State Fan. In my spare time I like to read, catch up on some of my favorite TV shows, and go to different restaurants I haven't been to before. I am excited to be a part of West Preparatory Academy this year and to work with our wonderful students.

My name is Brian Cox and I graduated from The University of Akron in May 2017.  I am certified to teach grades K-12 for health and physical education. I am passionate about educating students about the benefits of living a healthy lifestyle. I really enjoy teaching and am excited about the opportunity to work for EEG's West Preparatory Academy.

I've always had a huge passion for education and making a difference in the lives of children. I'm very excited to start my new career path here at West Prep Academy as a Teachers Aide where I hope to positively impact the lives of the students and their families.

Hello! My name is Kimberly Glinka. I teach kindergarten here at West Preparatory Academy. This is my fourth year teaching and my second year teaching kindergarten. I began my education at Malone University in Canton, Ohio and finished with my bachelor degrees in Early Childhood and Special Education. I have now been married one year to my husband Steve and we will hopefully be starting a family of our own very soon! Just as life is an adventure, teaching is as well and I enjoy the uncertainty of what each day and year brings.

My name is Mr. Kevin Hudson, and l bring 14 years of teaching to West Preparatory Academy. I have taught kindergarten and pre k as an early childhood educator! I am a product of Cleveland Public Schools and a graduate of Euclid High School! I received my Bachelor's degree in early childhood education with a minor in History In 2004. In my spare time l love listening to music, shopping, hanging with family and going to the movies!

My name is Ms. Komichak and I am the 7th and 8th Grade Math/Science teacher. I was born in Parma and I attended Cleveland State University with a degree in Middle Childhood Education in Math and Science. Three of my favorites things are the color yellow, chocolate, and traveling.

Hello! My name is Miss Moore and I am the 7th and 8th grade Reading and Social Studies teacher. I attended Baldwin Wallace University where I earned both my undergraduate degree in Elementary Education and my Master's Degree in Educational Technology. I enjoy integrating technology into the curriculum as a path towards guiding our students to mastering 21st Century Skills. In my free time, I research,  practice my golf swing and enjoy painting during the winter months.

Hello! My name is Melinda Reed teaches English Language Arts and Social Studies this year at West Preparatory Academy. This is my first year at West Preparatory Academy. I have a bachelor of arts degree in Journalism from Ohio State University and a bachelor plus and teaching licensure from Ashland University. I also have a K-12 Integrated Language Arts license. I am in my fourth year of teaching and I passed my RESA last year. I have experience in teaching English Language Arts, Reading, Social Studies and Journalism, and I have taught grades 6-12 in the past. I believe that every child can learn; you just need to find his or her best method of learning.

My name is Ashley Rice and I am thrilled to be the third grade teacher at West Preparatory Academy. I have wanted to be a teacher my whole life and pursued that passion as I obtained both my Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education as well as my Reading Endorsement from Cleveland State University. In my spare time, I enjoy playing my violin and watching the Cleveland Indians. Here’s to a great school year, and go Tribe!

My name is Travis Williams. I am a Cleveland native and graduated from Shaker Heights High School in 2005. I come from a biracial family and am the youngest of four brothers with an adopted younger sister. In 2010, I graduated from Miami University of Ohio with a bachelor’s degree in architecture but quickly decided to change my career path. Having observed my parents, with a combined 65 years experience as teachers, I was inspired to become an educator. I combined my passions for art and learning and returned to school where I earned a master’s degree in art education from Case Western Reserve University. I am currently in my second year as an art educator and look forward to continued opportunities for professional learning and growth.
